Frank Herrera Jr., the founder of The Herrera Law Firm, Inc., ended two years of service as National Chair of the Board for the New America Alliance, Inc., an Allen, Texas-based organization that advocates for the American Latino community throughout the United States.
In a prepared statement, the NAA thanked Herrera for his dedication and leadership as National Chair. "The New America Alliance would like to express our appreciation to our outgoing Chairs of the Board. Frank Herrera Jr. served the last two years as NAA Inc. Chair of the Board and Ana-Maria Fernandez Haar served the last two years as NAA Institute Chair of the Board."
The NAA said Herrera and Haar will continue to serve on the NAA Inc. Board of Directors. Haar also will serve on the NAA Institute Board.
A trial attorney in San Antonio who founded The Herrera Law Firm in 1983, Herrera said, "Serving as National Chair of the New America Alliance was an honor and privilege. I strove to do my best to help advance the goals of the New America Alliance, Inc. I thoroughly enjoyed my service and wish the best to the newly elected Chairs."
The NAA welcomed newly elected NAA Inc. Chair of the Board Tom Soto and newly elected NAA Institute Chair of the Board Carmen Ortiz-McGhee.
According to the NAA website, the national organization, founded in 1999, is dedicated to advancing the economic development of the American-Latino community. The NAA's motto is "Building on American Latino Success to Forge a Stronger America." Membership includes more than 100 prominent American Latino entrepreneurs and business leaders who are committed to giving back to the community.
